Effortless Flow & Radical Alignment: How to Live, Love and Create from Your True Self
Justin speaks to Steve about how to get into higher vibrational states no matter the outside circumstances.

Inspired by a conversation with Justin Faerman
There’s a particular frequency you drop into when you’re in conversation with someone who gets it. Someone who’s spent years dissolving the inner noise, following their own intuition into the unknown, and emerging with gold—not just for themselves but for the world.
This article is inspired by such a conversation—with my brother and friend, Justin Faerman, co-founder of Conscious Lifestyle Magazine and Flow Consciousness Institute. A man who’s been both mentor and mirror to me. Someone who has helped guide me (and many others) back into integrity, clarity, and yes—flow.
What is Flow?
Let’s start there.
Flow isn’t just a buzzword. It’s not something you “achieve” with the right playlist and a soy latte.
Flow is an operating system—a non-dual state of consciousness that aligns your intuition, desire, emotional clarity, and action. It’s what happens when you remove the noise, the trauma, the programming—and life begins to work through you, not against you.
Justin described it like this:
“You’re never fully out of flow. There’s struggle flow, and there’s effortless flow. Both serve—but only one feels like you’re being breathed by the universe.”
He explained how every breakdown, every stuck loop, every recurring fight with a partner or block in your business is a feedback mechanism—a mirror.
Not a punishment.
Not karma.
Just a clear signal: something is out of alignment, and it’s time to shift.
Inner Flow vs Outer Flow
This part was gold.
There are two fundamental components to flow:
1. Inner Flow
This is the rewiring of your internal system—beliefs, emotional patterns, trauma. In other words, all the shit that keeps your nervous system addicted to chaos and your mind running loops from childhood that no longer serve.
As Justin put it:
“You have to reprogram yourself to see the world in a way that engenders flow.”
It’s not about controlling outcomes. It’s about clearing the channel.
2. Outer Flow
Once you’ve done the inner work, outer flow becomes the dance. It’s how you move through life—how you act, decide, create, relate.
This is where intuition, inspiration, and excitement become your compass.
You stop chasing success and start tuning in to what wants to happen through you.
💞 Flow in Relationships
We spoke about what happens when flow (or the lack of it) shows up in your love life.
Here’s what I’ve seen: relationships are pressure cookers for your shadow.
When you’re in a relationship out of alignment, it’s like your soul is screaming through your partner’s behaviour, saying:
“Hey, see that wound you haven’t looked at? I’m gonna mirror it back to you every day until you get it.”
Justin echoed this:
“Instead of taking radical responsibility, people externalise. They blame the partner, the situation, the job. But really, it’s all a mirror.”
The solution?
You go within. You clear the residue. You honour your partner’s truth without sacrificing your own.
Justin and his partner Megan have been together over a decade—not by clinging, but by offering each other radical freedom. Long-distance when needed. Time apart when necessary. Devotion without control.
It’s powerful to witness.
Flow, Money & Hustle Culture
We touched on that juicy paradox between “flow” and “hard work.”
And yeah, this one’s big.
The Gary V hustle-your-face-off crowd would have you believe that effort equals success. But flow isn’t laziness—it’s alignment.
It’s doing the work that feels like play.
It’s acting on inspiration rather than obligation.
As Justin said:
“Flow is the path of least resistance and highest leverage. It’s not that I don’t work—I just do the work that’s a hell yes for me.”
And you can see the results in the lives of those who live this way. They’re not burning out—they’re building sustainable impact and living in tune with themselves and the planet.
The Language of Flow
Here’s where we got into some fun nuance—language as a doorway to flow.
Ever notice how the word want implies you don’t have?
Like, “I want a partner” subtly programs your subconscious to confirm the lack.
What if instead, you claimed your desires?
Not as wishful thinking—but as energetic certainty.
“I claim the relationship I am ready for.”
“I claim the next step in my expansion.”
“I claim a life lived in flow.”
Justin put it like this:
“Language reveals your unconscious assumptions. Shift the language, and you shift the unconscious.”
Simple. Profound. True.
A World in Flow
We ended our conversation imagining what a society in effortless flow might look like.
A world where war is replaced by creative tension.
Where purpose replaces profit.
Where each person follows their unique genius and fits into a global tapestry like a sacred puzzle piece.
Where sexuality is sacred, education is holistic, and power is no longer hidden behind shame and control.
Sound utopian?
It’s not.
It’s what happens when enough people heal.
When enough people unplug from the Matrix.
When enough people remember the truth of who they are and start living it.
🧘 Final Thoughts: Let Go to Align
Here’s what I’ve learned (the hard way):
Flow doesn’t require you to “do more.” It asks you to get out of your own way.
You don’t need to force.
You don’t need to chase.
You don’t need to manipulate the algorithm of life.
You simply need to clear what is not you, follow what lights you up, and trust that the next step will reveal itself.
Flow is your natural state.
You’ve just been trained out of it.
Now’s the time to come home.
