Tapping into the Power of My Own Heart: A Journey Through Love, Freedom & Inner Truth

Over the last decade, if there’s one thing I’ve learned above all else, it’s this: the heart is the gateway to everything. Not just love or healing, but truth, freedom, creativity, and the divine. This journey has been anything but linear, and it certainly hasn’t been soft. But it’s been real, raw, and worth every step.

In this conversation with my partner, Kateřina Love, we open up about the real path of heart awakening—not the romanticised Instagram version, but the one that knocks you sideways, burns you clean, and then shows you who you truly are.

My First Major Heart Initiation

Back in 2012, I experienced what I can only describe as a shamanic heart initiation. I was in Guatemala, in a group process, and my heart quite literally felt like it was on fire. That experience awakened a kind of wolf-like energy in me—fierce, focused, and deeply heart-led.

But even before that, I’d been through years of heartbreak—pain that I now understand was the early stage of my initiation. No man really talks about it. No one teaches us how to process the grief that sits in the male chest. But I had to face it. And in doing so, something began to shift.

That Guatemala Heart Initiation experience was the turning point. Everything after that was all in service of learning how to hold the power that the heart carries when it’s fully activated.

Kateřina’s Story of the Heart

Kateřina had her own powerful heart awakening in Thailand during a yoga training. Her heart literally cracked… physically. It brought with it deep purging, emotional rewiring, and a complete shift in relationships, both with people and with reality itself. It’s what started her journey into becoming the guide and healer she is today.

What we’ve both experienced… and what I’ve seen mirrored in others on the path… is that true heart activation often happens when you’re outside your home country, outside your usual context. It happens in nature, in community, in ceremony. The places where the soul feels safe enough to return.

Sacred Union and the Power of Inner Alchemy

One of the most profound things I’ve experienced is the sacred union within the heart. I’m talking about the inner marriage between the divine masculine and divine feminine, the healed inner child, and the activated soul… all sitting in alignment with the higher self and I AM consciousness.

When I first started feeling these states back in 2015, I couldn’t hold them. The energy was too high, the vibration too pure. But over the years, with deep dedication and practice, I learned to embody that sacred union as a baseline.

And here’s the truth: when you’re holding that kind of frequency in your heart, people can’t lie to you. Not successfully. You feel it immediately. You become a tuning fork for integrity. Anyone who’s operating outside that truth either transforms or disappears from your life. It’s not personal. It’s energetic law.

Practical Truths for the Path

• Follow the call. Whether it’s to a retreat, a country, a piece of land, or a book—follow the thing your heart won’t shut up about.

• Feel it all. Don’t bypass the grief. Don’t numb the rage. Don’t suppress the joy. All of it matters.

• Find your stillness. Nature. Solitude. Breath. These are non-negotiables. The modern world is designed to distract you from your own soul.

• Get support. Whether it’s a mentor, a therapist, a community, or your partner. You don’t have to walk this alone.

• Laugh more. It doesn’t have to be serious all the time. Laughter is medicine. Bob Marley and Christ consciousness are best mates in my book.

The Truth About Power

Real power is being able to sit in my heart and feel the full range of life—without being overwhelmed, without giving up my truth, without bypassing a thing. It’s the ability to feel through the lies, see through the illusion, and still lead with love.

This path has brought me closer to my own soul than I ever imagined. It’s helped me create the life, relationship, and purpose I once only dreamed about.
